For our milestone 7th year, CareQuilts is excited to announce some updates and future goals!
As some of our frequent visitors may have noticed, the CareQuilts website has gone through a huge redesign thanks to summer intern Ayusha Ayalur! The website has awesome new features, including visitors now being able to subscribe and stay up to date with any volunteer opportunities or updates, a new blog page, a new FAQ page, and an easy way to contact all of us here at CareQuilts.
The new website was aimed at highlighting the core values of CareQuilts. We want to encourage volunteers in the community to get together and make quilt tops and quilts for the brave cancer survivors undergoing treatment at various oncology centers in the community. A single quilt could make a monumental difference. The new aesthetic highlights the dedication of our volunteers, and visitors are able to see the beautiful quilts in our new gallery! For visitors wanting to participate in a project, there is a new color wheel for inspiration on a making a beautiful quilt for a particular person in mind.
We have also organized remote quilt making- having our volunteers work on quilts with their families at home, and then mailing them to us here at CareQuilts. If you or somebody you know would be interested in this option, feel free to Contact Us!
Right now, we are working on finishing 20 quilts for a distribution in November. For people wanting to help out, it’s a great way to show how thankful you are and make a really huge impact in your community!
We are so excited for all of you to see the new website, and interact with all the new features that CareQuilts is now offering! Happy Quilting!
